Description
spider man
on the streets of skid row
spider, man, it did not survive
but in the shelter on skid row
the low income rooms
some have stayed for years
personally
i don't want to be here one day
any of the days i have been here
any of the days i will be here further
spider, man, he thrived
sandwiched protection of the window and screen
and his meals came to him
his own little world
or is it hers
hunter not hunted
but i think they opened the window
i think they watched me shoot with no harm
the spider, man, i am sure it tried to
ran it did with its little legs
big and thick as spiders go
i am sure it went
i have not seen it
as many have passed
Veterans and civilians alike
suicide and murdered by the second hand smoke
i try to protect myself
as spider, man, he did
a manmade contraption helped him
so long as nobody opened the window
he - or is it she - who endured the pollution better than i
the idiot second hand cancer subjectors
subjecting us to their second hand smoke
it comes both from the outside and the inside
from within the halls
within the elevators,
within the rooms
i block the vents
i block the doors
i open, and close the windows
not often enough to the attacks on my health
from regular pollutions
and those who give a fuck who they murder
their filth dripping still from the closet
the closet doors within the closet i am subjected to
the closet i can't seem to get out of
no riches yet fill my coffers
i don't see the spider any more
the spider was my friend
trying to survive like i am
