blurred in the speed of the day
blurred in the haze of your eyes
blurred in the dirt and then color emerged
blurred in the disbelieve of the wonderful surprise

i open my eyes to the intricacies
depth of perception
and the hues of these
the warmth of their gift
and the heat of their life
the marital status'
and the tussles of lovers to stay under covers

and those in the plain of day
with wet whistlers whistling
bird calls to natures bars in every tree
a customary setting for U and me
in ice breakers seeking takers
of closed lips looking at hips and curves
here for play in clay

the one that got away
now here for another day
i look forward to tomorrow
to see what we will say

stayed for awhile
in eternities
never washed away by the tide
but in a different place
in a different time
and so open your arms
for this embrace engaged!
