my very first nude is a stain on skid row L.A.
My first day on skid row, i had just come from the VA - i could not believe that skid row was the only place that a Marine... it was the only option... i felt the oppression of those who victimize[d] me prior and during this time of having to go to skid row. I did not want to go, i did not want to go from being homeless in Pasadena, and previously homeless for over a decade in various states (when traveling to try to find a college to go to).
i sat there, it was in 2010 on Temple and Alemeda in an office on the 3rd floor with a VA “social worker” who had her door open and was saying inappropriate things that she thought was true about me because i was homeless - and me in shock and could not believe this was all there was available - she threatens me, you better make the decision
- but me triggered with COMPLEX PTSD complications - severe depressive disorder - anxiety disorder...
